Introduction The NSV Bible Project Frustrated with various translations, I decided to create my own. I wanted a reliable, accurate translation that did not reflect the secular or denominational bias that arises when translators choose from among different translations of the Hebrew Scriptures. If the scriptures are valuable for teaching, it is because they are authentic representations of the Hebrew texts, and not an interpretation of them.

NSV Phase 4 Phase 4 is a website layer with full app and database built on top of the data stored in the wiki. This project was started in 2026 after many years of working on phase 3. The first thing we need to do is disentangle the protocols used on the wiki and standardize them.

Preface I was raised a Protestant at home and sent to Catholic school by my parents. I always enjoyed reading Proverbs and Psalms, and I enjoyed the stories of the bible. I liked the colorful characters of Adam, Noah,m Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, and many more. I read with wonder the tales of the Prophets. But I never really felt connected with the scriptures until one day I attended a bible lecture over the Exodus and the Passover in college so very long ago in 1999.
